Paccon Logistics makes sure global shipments to Botswana arrive on time and at very attractive costs. Lucas Baretto, Managing Director, is also the Chairman of the Freight and Customs Clearing Agents Association of Botswana and he strongly supports international standards in Botswana’s transport sector. He says, “Paccon Logistics transports everything, from heavy mining machinery to cosmetics, food, furniture, and even people’s pets. We handle transport, customs clearance and warehousing, logistics and project management, and we specialise in international freight. If it can be moved, we move it.”

The company’s clientele is around 50% private enterprises, 20% government organisations and 30% individual clients. Lucas Baretto estimates that Paccon Logistics has around a 60% market share. He adds, “Durban and Port Elizabeth are the goods windows of SADC trade, but we are trying to put more effort into developing the Trans Kalahari corridor so that we can utilise that route as well.”

Lucas Baretto points out that Paccon Logistics’ competitive advantage is its safety, security, and professional and prompt turnaround service. He says, “We are looking to double our turnover this year. Paccon Logistics is a very reliable international partner and we also bring to the table transparency of service delivery.”
