Founded by former tennis player Dinu Pescariu, who represented Romania at the Summer Olympics Games in Barcelona and Atlanta, today Pescariu Sports & Spa is a family run business. Managing partners Ioana Georgescu, Ana Pescariu and Letitia Pescariu discuss the centre’s success story and evolution.

“We do everything together, we trust each other and this is how we created a stable and successful business.” Ana Pescariu begins.

Pescariu Sports & Spa is a club where business people can enjoy socializing outside of their business environment while taking care of their body and spirit. Letitia Pescariu says, “Sport is not just an option anymore, it is a necessity. We took the sports activities to a different level and created this oasis, where our members enjoy the friendly environment and network with others”. She adds, “We have a close connection with our members and consider them as part of the family. The main ingredient of our success is customer care: the way we get connected to all the people who visit us”.

Pescariu Sports & Spa offers numerous facilities equipped with the latest technologies, including a gym, two group fitness areas, indoor and outdoor pools, SPA & therapy rooms, squash, tennis and football courts. All sport activities are led by professional coaches. Pescariu family is particularly proud of the Tennis Academy, which is the best academy in the country. “We also have a pool, playground and care takers for children while their parents are enjoying our facilities”, Letitia Pescariu explains.

Pescariu AQUA, an oasis of peace and relaxation in the middle of the city, is the biggest and most luxurious outdoor swimming pool in Bucharest. It is one of the most attractive venues during the summer and is also among the capital’s favourite venues for large outdoor events. “One of our major advantages is definitely the location. We are located in the attractive area of Bucharest yet we are surrounded by green space which gives our guests the feeling of a sweet escape”, Ioana Georgescu points out.
