Star Construction and Consultancy, a specialist in the construction of buildings and irrigation infrastructure, plays a key role in Rwanda’s development. The company’s activities include independent contracting, manufacturing concrete products, and consultancy services concerning project management, professional training and more. SCC completes projects for the public and private sectors and has established a strong track record in Rwanda for its high quality, on-time performance and ability to work within budgets.

Over the past three months, SCC has achieved a significant increase in turnover thanks to a dynamic new general manager and staff training. Papias Dedeki Kazawadi, Managing Director, explains, “We have improved our production and, following recent training programmes by a German company GIZ, we have greatly improved our resource management as well. We are well trained under the institution PREMA, Profitable Resource Efficient Management, which really separates us from the competition.” He plans to expand the company’s consultancy services to make up around 30% of the business over the next three to four years, with production of cement products to account for 30% and construction works around 40%.

Papias Dedeki Kazawadi welcomes European partners who can provide new technologies and equipment like a stone crusher for aggregate business, concrete mixers, and road construction machinery.
