Antwerp has long been a centre of international commerce, and Hilton Antwerp Old Town management intends to keep that tradition alive. The soon to come new C&E facilities provide conference-goers and business clientele the most up-to-date of 21st-century business features and capabilities.

General Manager Serge De Wandelaer explains, the Hilton Antwerp Old Town already boasts of a decent occupancy rate, but we aim to further improve on that. “We don’t just want to be ahead, we want to be leading. The brand and location are very powerful, and our food and beverage offerings do differentiate and contribute to the Hilton reputation.”

With the majority of our customers being from the US, Canada, UK and across Europe, management sees opportunities in attracting more visitors from the East and Latin America. “We’ll be watching closely the evolution of the emerging markets and integrate any requirements that may contribute to growing market share. Some emerging markets such as India and some African countries have already and are rapidly extending their relationship with Antwerp through the diamond exchange, which will further contributes to the international and cosmopolitan character Antwerp aims for.”

Hilton Worldwide introduced the “Huanying” concept, breakfast buffet items and tailor made amenities based on the Chinese custom, as an example, to accommodate those future visitors to our properties worldwide, as to provide them with a feeling of being “home away from home”.
