Istishari Hospital, the newest private hospital in Amman, Jordan, is revolutionising Jordan’s healthcare sector by providing world class facilities and services.
The 108 bed hospital opened its doors to patients in 2006, as the most modern and most equipped hospital in Jordan; with state of the art technology to support specialists to perform complex procedures.
Dr. Mazen Al-Bashir, CEO, who has overseen the hospital’s transformation since 2008, points out that Istishari Hospital achieved Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation this year after meeting 1031 of 1033 JCI criteria in the first round, a rare and impressive accomplishment.
The hospital is staffed with physicians in many specialties who have trained at some of the world’s best known institutions, including Harvard Medical School, Johns Hopkins Medical School, and the Royal College of Surgeons. The hospital’s multilingual staff is ready to serve the needs of both local and international patients. Since May 2008 the hospital served close to 95,000 inpatients and outpatients including over 5,100 foreign patients.
Istishari Hospital has six operating theatres and is equipped with the latest technologies to provide specialised care for a wide variety of conditions, such as cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, reconstructive plastic surgery, orthopedic surgery, kidney transplant, IVF comprehensive and advanced fertility treatment in addition to large ICU, CCU and NICU units.
