GrapeCity Mongolia

Mongolia is one of the fastest-growing economies on the globe today and is known worldwide for its mining-industry boom. Mining is just the beginning, however. Mongolia has another booming industry – ICT – and one of the major players in this sector is GrapeCity Mongolia LLC, a leading software house which specialises in banking and payment solutions.

GrapeCity Mongolia was established in 2000 in a joint venture between BSB LLC (Mongolia) and GrapeCity, Inc. (Japan). BSB LLC specialised in banking solutions and implemented the first-ever banking system in Mongolia that performs transactions electronically. The system was used by local banks from 1991 through 2000. GrapeCity is a multinational software corporation based in Sendai, Japan, with branches in Australia, China, Malaysia, India, the US and Vietnam. In 2005, GrapeCity Mongolia released a comprehensive core banking system and started competing with well known international vendors.

GrapeCity Mongolia designs and develops high-quality, feature-rich, innovative software which equals or exceeds its competitors’ products in functionality and reliability. Thanks to the high quality of its products, GrapeCity has earned a 90% share of the market and its products are used by nine local commercial and investment banks and by over 20 other financial-services enterprises.

Aiming to establish a Mongolia-wide electronic-payment-processing infrastructure, GrapeCity Mongolia co-founded the Mongolian Online Secured Transactions Payment Service Provider (MOST PSP), a bridge network connecting all commercial banks, mobile-network operators, merchants and billers. In 2012, GrapeCity Mongolia successfully implemented its Advanced Mobile Phone Acquiring Gateway (AMPAG) Platform, a comprehensive mobile-payment secure platform. Based on this platform, MOST PSP successfully launched “Most Money” service in cooperation with banks and mobile-phone operators. “Most Money” is Mongolia’s first mobile-money initiative.

Looking to expand globally

Having contributed substantially to ensuring modern banking and financial-services IT infrastructure at home, GrapeCity Mongolia is now looking to leverage its expertise and experience by participating in banking and payment systems internationally while continuing to remain at the industry’s leading edge in Mongolia. GrapeCity Mongolia is interested in implementing its GrapeBank (CBS), GrapeMaster (general ledger system), and VirtualBank (mobile and Internet banking) systems and providing its services to banks in Asia and Africa. GrapeCity is currently seeking partners in these regions.
GrapeCity Mongolia has rich experience in integrating its systems with other third-party contributors and vendors. The company also has a history of successful partnerships with global leaders like CompassPlus, Bevertec CST Inc, Flexcube, CMA and more. GrapeCity Mongolia welcomes the chance to work with you.
